I’ve found a few good programs for D20 gaming. The best is probably good old Skype, but others are worth checking out.
The best bargain is always to avoid the store. I was looking at this great deal on a gamecube today, and I saved myself almost two hundred dollars! I didn’t go back and get it. But we’ll see tomorrow. I don’t always have the greatest willpower. Anyhow, read on for some bargain links.
In a closed society where everybody’s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity.
Even the Cato Institute and Business week get it. In an article titled ‘It’s Too Easy To Get Hard Time‘, Ciro Scotti reports that “With more than 4,000 federal crimes alone now on the books, you’d have to be Mother Theresa not to be in jeopardy at some point.”Do we really want to live in a country where a person’s action and motive aren’t the primary reasons for incarceration–it’s whether a prosecutor or politician points a finger in your direction? Isn’t it a sad thing when “it’s against the law” no longer provides a useful guide to proper behavior? Must we have to teach our young people two sets of rules: what you really do, and what you tell the cops?
I’ve got this huge bookmarks file that I don’t even dig into anymore….bookmarks are lame. No search. Bad mnemonics. So I’m going to release them here. Maybe you’ll find something cool. Perhaps I’ll find something cool. Either way, my little hoard will stop being in the dead end morrass of bookmarks.html.
Open Source Software is a great stocking stuffer. I made a set for my clients, but I shoulda looked for The Open CD.
I didn’t know how well the ResEdit tradition has been followed. MacDevCenter over at O’reilly has an article on Modifying Stickies that shows just how much power one can have in the Macintosh environment. Plus, I want to mod my Stickies app!
It’s pointed to as an example of what games journalism should be, but all I know is everyone I know should read Bow, Nigger.
